Mosquitoes, read this.

If you are a mosquito, and you are intending to bite me. Perhaps you might want to read this and reconsider. Yes, you can take this as a threat. If you so much as come close enough, I will maim you, like one of your brothers sistas in the picture, watch you struggle a little, before finally, making you a permanent feature on the piece of paper. (Thanks PSW, for pointing out the mossie gender thingy.)

Why I was late.

29092006168-illegal parkers2 Originally uploaded by toadjuice.
Here's why I was late for an appointment. Two idiotic drivers loading their stuff on a zig-zagged yellow line. For your convenience, I have enlarged the license plate. Why do people like this get away with it while bus lane offenders don't? I'll tell you why. This is the problem of outsourcing. For bus lane offenders, you just need to put one ur.. fella on an overhead bridge. Low cost. So these outsourced fine writers (OFW) will find better returns there. To catch these idiots parking by the road side, the OFW will need to put this fella on bikes... Higher cost, lower returns. Not worth it. So drivers out there, beware, bus lane, sure die, however, if you illegally park, I think it is ok... as long as where you park is not economical for the OFW to get to.

Taliban Gurls...

I know this is not a recent photo. But with the recent bad press about the Taliban, I've only got one question. Do these girls look oppressed in anyway?

A patriot's view on Thailand's coup.

I cannot help but read with great interest the developments that are gradually unfolding in Thailand. Being a patriotic Singaporean, there is a lingering thought that is currently seriously bugging me. S$2billion invested in Shin Corp... Thai military don't like Thaksin... What will they do? Shit shit shit... bet on the wrong horse! Siao liao!

SingPost read my blog!

Ok, customer service from SingPost read my "kao peh about SingPost" blog and posted a comment. OMG! This is the first time I encounter corporate damage control people... I mean customer care people scouring the web for complaints! Since posts are seldom read after the first time, I fear this comment will be missed by my ardent fans. So here it is: == Dear Mr Lim, We apologise for the unpleasant experience you encountered in attempting to enquire about your damaged package. As explained to you, it was a case of miscommunication as our staff had thought that you were enquiring on the status of your item. We wish to assure you that customer service is of utmost importance to us and we hope to amicably resolve this with you. Our Customer Care Officer has contacted you to apologise and is liaising with our overseas postal administration to resolve this. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and trust that you will give us another opportunity to serve you better. Thank You & Best Regards, Christina Pek Quality Management/Customer Care Singapore Post Limited (Reg No. 199201623M) == Well, unpleasant is not really the word I would use for this experience. This botched up courier has the potential to cost the company I work for substantial revenue loss. (Though I hope my job is not on the line.) Well, the damage is done, I reserve the right to "kao peh" and I really just want to use my blog as a channel to "kao peh". So here's my comment to SingPost's comment: == Hi Christina, you can't be from customer care! You've got to be from damage control. Heh heh... It did not seem like a miscommunication to me. If you called me once, and I made it known that I did not make an enquiry on the status, it is a miscomm. But twice? We'll I think someone forgot to log the call. heh heh... That being said, I really appreciate what's being done. No customer service have ever called me that many times in my entire life. ... and for the matter, read my blog! How often do you guys google?! == Anyway, my request to SingPost is pretty simple. "Let me know what went wrong. How can this be prevented." To be fair, they have responded to my request. It is something along the line of - "Their agents in the Malaysian side cock up and they are still investigating..." This is not the answer I am expecting so let's hope they get back to me on this. (Not by commenting on my blog though.) Oh well, whatever it is, SingPost commenting on my blog is probably the highlight of they day. PS: 1) Pea, no need to write to forum liao! SingPost read my blog. Heh heh... 2) If you Google "SingPost", my page appears on the 13th page! SingPost must be pretty thorough in their goolging man!

It has indeed, gone to more places than I.

Got it from FATA today, so I took it out for a test drive at Sentosa.

Love it!

Stiffer penalty for cat killer? I think not.

Personally, I think the sentence is stiff enough as it is. Heck, the only thing he did wrong is not disposing the carcass properly. I think all he deserve is a fine for littering.

I would in fact, like to petition for the conviction of these so called cat lovers. They know nothing about 'loving' these cats. If they love these cats that much, then bring them home to keep.

Most of these cat lovers do not live in the neighbourhood. They just go there, feed the cats and assume that everything is all nice in their lalaland. You feed the cats, then hor... ur... where do they shit? Not your house what... so don't care. Where do they sleep? Not around your house what... so not your business too! These 'cat lovers' are just selfish idiots who do not really give a damn. They think everyday spend a few dollars on cat food is showing the cats kindness. Imagine having 100 strays running around your neighbourhood. Playing on your car roof and scratching them. Running into your car as you open the door. Steralised or not. They are a pest.

Imagine the nuisance these cats must be causing in the neighbourhood! I say, cull these cats and bring peace and cleanliness to the neighbourhood.

Stray dogs end up in SPCA. Why not cats?

Stoopeed Cat Lovers!

SingPost... definitely the best courier in town.

It was the 25th of August 2006, when I sent a package to Penang, Malaysia. Four pieces of manifold blocks. Marked as samples. Nicely packed. Each one with their own individually packed bubble wraps. For added protection, we even packed these bubble wraps in a box cusioned with shredded paper. 28th August 2006. I received an email from my prospective vendor in Penang with pictures in it. The parts were OMFG Damaged! WTF?! Naturally, they wanted an explanation! Heck, I wanted an explanation! So I, after scrutinising the receipt for a good while, I found the toll-free number to dial. 1-800-222-5777. I dialed the number and was greeted with a friendly automated voice. After navigating my way through, I finally managed to get to speak to a real person. Politely, I told them about the damaged contents in the package and asked for an investigation as well as an explanation. I believe this was the least they could do. Politely, the girl on the phone agreed to my request. Five hours later, SingPost called me. "Mr Lim, with regards to your query, your package has arrived in Penang and has been received. Thank you for using SingPost. Bye bye!" "Uh... wait a minute... I know it has arrived. Just not in the way it was supposed to." I interrupted before she could hang up. "Oh, so what happened?" she replied, sounding puzzled. Yes, that's when I repeated my whole story to her. (Don't they log these things down?) Her reply was the best yet. "So what do you expect us to do?" Wah piang! I have not even raised my voice yet. Feeling really pissed now, but still contolling my voice, I replied, "I don't suppose you guys could reimburse me for the time lost, material lost as well as the possible loss of this job ya? I don't think you would want me to quantify that." "No sir, as you know, it is not in our policy to..." I interrupted her, "Of course I know your policy... I read it before calling to complain." "So, what do you want us to do?" She repeated her uh... 'request'. "Well, for starters, find out what went wrong! How my stuff got damaged! And I would really be grateful if you could give me a corrective action review so that I will still have the confidence to use your service!" I responded, thinking it will be another lifetime before I ever use them again. "Sure thing sir, we will do that. Thanks you for using SingPost." *Click* I wasn't expecting to hear from them actually... in fact, I was going to call them next week. Then surprise, surprise! I just received a call! SingPost today! "Mr Lim, with regards to your query, your package has arrived in Penang and has been received. Thank you for using SingPost. Bye bye!" Argh!!!!! I can't bring myself to repeat what happened next. But if would be pretty close if you go back to paqragraph 7 and read all over again. Fantastic service, SingPost, I love you!

My site got hacked today!

Hooray! My site got hacked today. Guess this shows that I am becoming more popular eh? The guy who hacked my site calls himself "Silahsiz Kuvvetler The Turkish hacker" Urgh! What arrogance. He thinks he's THE only Turk hacker around? Well, maybe these middle eastern dudes don't know their English very well. I think he should change it to:

Anyway, since he wants people to help voice his opinion, I think I shall give him some air time and leave his creation somewhere in my web site. Here's what he changed my Index Page into. Whatever it is , Silahsiz, if you ever come back to read this, this is my tip to you - Keep your darn bloody war in the Middle East!

MacCinno... why it takes too long to be served.

Y'know, after working hard gorging down a nice sumptious dinner (therefore, not at MacDonalds'), the last thing you want is to have to wait really long for your caffeine fix.

It took us a little longer than 15 minutes for the MacCinno thingy to be created.

I'm sure it takes time to create the letter 'M' but 15 minutes?!

I think Mac D need to send their staff back to kindergarten!
